When are Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021? permalink
Black Friday will fall on 26th November 2021, and will directly be followed by Cyber Monday (29th November 2021). The busiest shopping day of the year falls one day after the Thanksgiving holiday, which happens to be the last Thursday of November.
When will Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021 Gaming PC deals start? permalink
While the best deals are reserved for Black Friday (26th November 2021), Cyber Monday (29th November 2021), and the weekend in between, deals will be available well before and after these dates. Last year, for example, deals rolled out as early as the end of October. Expect the same this year, with the retailers determined to avoid shipping problems.
What stores offer Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021 deals? permalink
Nearly every big-box retailer out there. Stores like Amazon, eBay, BestBuy, Walmart, and Target have offered numerous promotions around Black Friday. To top it off, several vendors have also put up promotions on their own stores, so you are not cramped for choice.
Is Black Friday-Cyber Monday weekend a good time to buy PC components? permalink
YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES!
Given a wide range of products is available at hefty discounts, there is no time quite like Black Friday to buy PC parts. With vendors putting out lucrative deals, the sky-high prices of PC components have dropped to a record-low, ensuring that you are able to buy premium products at a budget.
That being said, why are PC parts so expensive right now in 2021? I have one word answer for this and that is the ‘pandemic’. With businesses embracing remote work during Covid-19, the demand for computer hardware increased multi-folds. Chip vendors weren’t able to put up with the increased demand, especially because the pandemic also limited their ability to produce hardware by inducing supply chain issues. Resources weren’t able to reach the factories, and consequently, the factories weren’t able to meet their desired quotas. With parts scarce and demand high, the prices rose exponentially.
With the prices higher than ever before, Black Friday 2021 presents a rare opportunity to buy computer components at a discounted price. So, if you intend to build a next-generation PC gaming rig, or to upgrade your existing one, wait no further!
What PC Gaming Component Deals should I expect on Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2021? permalink
As we mentioned before, lucrative Graphics Card deals are off the table. You can, however, beat the system by opting for Black Friday pre-built Gaming PC deals, which are available at hefty discounts owing to the impending launch of Intel Alder Lake-powered PCs.
GPUs may be hard to find this shopping season but CPU deals are plentiful and fruitful with retailers looking to clear out stock for the launch of new Intel and AMD Ryzen CPUs. While AMD’s new Ryzen CPUs are expected by 2022, Intel’s 12th generation Alder Lake processors will most certainly hit the market by the end of this year.
Similarly, several memory deals rolled out in the build-up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, offering significant discounts on greatly sought-after RAMs owing to the arrival of DDR5. The memory sticks should be available to the consumers by the end of this year, making DDR4 more affordable.
If you wish to beef up your gaming rig by picking up a cheap SSD upgrade, you are in luck. Not only are your options plentiful, but promotions across almost all reputable SSDs are almost certainly guaranteed. So is the case with Monitors, mice, and keyboards.
Do GPU prices drop on Black Friday or Cyber Monday? permalink
Traditionally yes, but owing to the chip shortage, there hasn’t been any drop in GPU prices this year. Indeed, you will be lucky to get a GPU at anything near the MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price). That being said, if you are in the hunt for elusive Nvidia 3000 or AMD’s 6000 series, you may finally get lucky. At this point in time, we are past the worst of GPU shortages, and retailers will be keen to make the most of the shopping holiday.
Should I wait till Black Friday or Cyber Monday to build/upgrade my Gaming PC? permalink
By all means! With only a few weeks to go and with early black Friday deals having rolled out already, it will be incredibly imbecilic of you to miss out on significant savings. YES, this year’s Black Friday may not be as exciting as Black Fridays of the yesteryears owing to supply chain issues and chip shortages, but it is still your best shot at availing hardware at a discounted rate or in the case of GPUs, availing hardware at all. Just don’t wait till the final weekend, because tech is only going to get scarcer.
